About Cron Generator

Where It All Started

Cron Generator was born out of a real internal need at Space Bits S.L., a software development and hosting company based in Manresa, Barcelona.

Day to day, we manage servers and hosting environments for our own projects and our clients - running Linux systems, cPanel and Plesk panels, and cloud platforms like AWS. Setting up cron jobs is a routine task: scheduled backups, automated reports, database maintenance, cache clearing, API sync jobs.

The problem we kept running into was always the same: cron syntax is simple in theory, but getting it right in practice means remembering field order, dealing with differences between Linux crontab and Quartz, handling the quirks of AWS EventBridge, or just double-checking that a */15 actually runs at the right times. We were constantly switching between documentation pages, mental checks and ad-hoc validators.

So we built our own tool - clean, fast, multi-format, with plain-English descriptions and next-run previews. We used it internally for months. Then we thought: every developer deals with this. Let's open it up.

What We Believe

Essential developer tools should be free, fast and private. Cron Generator runs entirely in your browser. No data is sent to our servers, no account is required, and there are no usage limits.
